Adamo (Latin for "I fall in love with") is a Dell subnotebook focused on design and mobility. A notebook prototype was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show on January 9, 2009. Dell also claimed it is the "world's thinnest laptop", at 0.65 inches thick. It is a slim luxury ultraportable intended to compete with Apple's MacBook Air, Lenovo's ThinkPad X301, or HP's Voodoo Envy 133 laptop. On September 9, 2009, Dell previewed a new, thinner Adamo "XPS" laptop design, which was 9.99 mm (0.39 inches) thick. It is the world's thinnest laptop, almost half as thick as the thickest part of the MacBook Air.

The laptop's bottom half, containing the keyboard, is smaller than the top half of the laptop containing the screen. The screen half is concave, so when shut the keyboard embeds itself into the screen.
